Maraia 9/11 Rememberance

“I cannot believe it’s been ten years since 9/11/2001. I can close my eyes and replay the events of that day like it was yesterday… I’ll never forget.” Ten years ago America was attacked by several Middle Eastern men, destroying prominent buildings both in Washington D.C. and New York. The United States spent more than three trillion dollars in an attempt to better the country after the attacks.  In New York, a memorial was opened on Sunday, with all of the names of those who died that day engraved on the walls. In the days following the ten-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, ODA students spent time commemorating the efforts of the heros who passed away that day. Some classes were privileged to hear an interview ODA parent John Maraia who was working in the North Tower at the time. What follows below is audio of the event. Warning: some of the content in this broadcast is graphic–not recommended for younger listeners.
